ATV insurance and all safety equipment are part of the package, and riders can go it alone or pair up depending on preference. From there the route leads to the cenote itself, where the option exists to enter the water by ladder or take a more dramatic route in via zipline before swimming in the cool, clear pool that the ancient Maya regarded as a passage to the underworld.

The zipline portion follows as its own segment, a circuit that carries riders out over the jungle canopy for roughly 45 minutes of aerial views before the group regroups on solid ground. With three activities completed, the tour winds down with a Mexican lunch at a local restaurant near the park, a chance to eat and rehydrate with purified water before the return drive. Admission to the cenote park along the Ruta de los Cenotes is built into the itinerary, so nothing about the sequence requires additional stops.

This tour suits travelers who want a full adventure day rather than a single activity, including families, since the operator markets it as suitable for the whole household within its physical limits. It is not recommended for anyone with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or travelers who are pregnant, and participants should have at least a moderate level of fitness. Only adults 18 and over may drive their own ATV, while younger riders aged 17 and under must ride with an adult, and there is a weight limit that is strictly enforced, so it is worth checking those specifics before booking.

Because this is a jungle-and-water day, pack for both: clothes you don't mind getting muddy on the ATV leg, a swimsuit and towel for the cenote, and closed shoes for traction on the trails. The tour includes ATV insurance, all necessary safety equipment, two tacos, purified water, an air-conditioned vehicle for transport, and admission to the cenote park, so the core costs of the day are handled. There are two possible schedules: a morning departure with pickup between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m. depending on zone, arriving at the park around 9:30 a.m., or a midday departure with pickup between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., arriving around 1:30 p.m. Travelers staying in Tulum are picked up at a fixed meeting point, the Super Aki supermarket downtown, so factor in transit time to get there. For safety reasons, cell phone use isn't permitted during the ATV, zipline, or cenote segments, so plan on being unplugged for the bulk of the tour.
