From the cenote, the day moves to Marmol Beach Club on the lagoon itself, where the main block of free time unfolds. Lunch follows, again with a traditional dish to choose from, along with additional time simply to relax at the beach club before moving on. As the day winds down, a guide walks the group through the history of the area and points out the exterior of the Fort of San Felipe, an 18th-century structure built to defend the town from pirate raids. The stop wraps with a photo at Bacalar's well-known colored letters sign before the drive back to your hotel.
