Your guide isn't a certified archaeological guide and won't lead you inside the ruins themselves, but your entrance fee is already included in the tour price, and you're free to hire a certified site guide on the spot or explore on your own once inside. From there, the ride continues onto the famous Tulum Beach Road, where the group stops periodically for photos at some of the area's well-known beach clubs, shops, and restaurants lining the route.

The road eventually reaches a beach cenote, where the group breaks for a Mayan lunch before spending time in the water — swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding are all part of this stop, with entrance fees, paddle board use, and snorkeling gear included. A separate boat-based session takes you out to snorkel along the Tulum reef, adding an open-water counterpart to the freshwater swim at the cenote before the group rides back to TAE along the beach road.
