The Xenotes day, running around eleven hours, shifts the setting entirely from a single inlet to four distinct cenotes, the natural limestone sinkholes the Yucatán is known for. Here the pace picks up, with kayaking, ziplines, and rappelling worked into the visits to the different cenotes alongside time to swim in clear, fresh water. A picnic is served during the day, and the tour frames the cenotes as more than swimming holes, connecting the water activities to the geology that formed them over time. Between the two days, travelers get contrasting environments, the open coastal cove of Xel-Ha versus the enclosed, cave-like cenotes, without needing to book and coordinate two separate tours.
