ATV circuit in the jungle + Horseback riding, ziplines & Cenote

Tucked into the jungle south of Cancun and Playa del Carmen, this half-day outing bundles three of the region's classic adrenaline activities into a single circuit: an ATV drive through the forest, a zipline course strung above the canopy, and a swim in a freshwater cenote. It's built for travelers who want the jungle-adventure sampler rather than a single-activity outing, moving from engine noise and dirt trails to open-air flight and finally to still, cool water.

The day begins with the ATV portion, where you take the wheel yourself and steer through a winding jungle route carved between the trees. The path is designed to test your handling rather than just carry you along, so expect turns, dips, and the kind of terrain that keeps both hands on the bars. Riders 18 and older drive their own quad, while younger travelers ride along with an adult, keeping the activity workable for families as well as solo thrill-seekers.

From the ATV track, the circuit shifts to the zipline course, where a series of cables sends you gliding over the jungle canopy. This is the part of the day built for the sensation of speed without an engine underneath you, just harness, cable, and the rush of wind as the forest floor drops away below. Once the last line ends, the pace slows dramatically at the cenote, a natural limestone pool where you can wade or swim in cool, clear water surrounded by exposed rock and jungle growth, a deliberate contrast to the noise and momentum of the two activities before it. A snack lunch and purified water are provided along the way to keep energy up between stops.

This combination suits travelers who want variety packed into one outing and don't mind switching gears quickly between activities. Because the tour asks for at least moderate physical fitness and involves genuine steering and physical exertion, it fits active adults and older teens more comfortably than very young children or anyone with mobility concerns. It's not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with spinal injuries or cardiovascular conditions, given the jostling of the ATV ride and the physical demands of the zipline. What sets it apart from single-activity excursions is the pacing: rather than dedicating a full day to one adventure sport, you get a taste of driving, flying, and swimming all in roughly five hours.

Come dressed for getting dirty and wet: a change of clothes, a towel, closed-toe shoes, a swimsuit, sunscreen, biodegradable insect repellent, sunglasses, and a bandana for the ATV leg are all recommended by the operator. Leave valuables behind, since cell phones, cameras, drones, and other valuables are not permitted during the activities for security reasons — a detail worth planning around if you were hoping to document the day yourself, since photo and video service is not included and would need to be purchased separately. Lockers and ATV insurance are also excluded, so factor those into your planning if you'll be carrying belongings you can't leave at your hotel.

Pickup logistics depend on where you're staying and which of the two daily schedules you book. The morning departure collects guests from the Cancun and Playa del Carmen zone between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. and from the Tulum zone between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., arriving at the park around 9:30 a.m. The afternoon option picks up from Cancun and Playa del Carmen between noon and 12:30 p.m. and from Tulum between 11:00 a.m. and noon, arriving around 1:30 p.m. If your specific hotel isn't on the standard list, a company representative will reach out directly to confirm your pickup point and time, and Tulum guests without a listed hotel should plan to meet at the Super Aki supermarket downtown.
