Bacalar Lagoon All Inclusive with Transportation Breakfast and Lunch

Bacalar's nickname, the Lagoon of Seven Colors, comes from the way sunlight passes through its shallow limestone floor and scatters into bands of turquoise, teal, and deep blue. This all-inclusive day trip is built for travelers based in Cancún, the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum who want to experience that lagoon and its surrounding attractions without booking an overnight stay in Bacalar itself, using round-trip ground transportation to make it a single, self-contained day out.

The day centers on Cenote Azul, where a mix of amenities lets you settle in rather than just pass through: loungers, hammocks, and swings are available around the water, along with access to the Marmol Spa on site. A full hour of kayaking is included for exploring the lagoon at your own pace, and swimming in Cenote Azul itself is part of the plan for cooling off in its deep, dark-blue water. Food is built into the day in two parts — a breakfast at Cenote Azul with one dish chosen à la carte, and later a lunch with a second dish chosen from the menu — plus a bottle of water provided along the way.

Beyond the water time, the tour also takes in a few of Bacalar's landmark sights: a stop at Fort of San Felipe, built as a defense post overlooking the lagoon, and a photo stop at the town's Bacalar letters sign. There's also a panoramic view point built into the route where you can take in the fort and the lagoon from a distance before returning to the water-based activities. Between the swimming, the kayak hour, and the two included meals, the pace favors settling into one place for the day rather than rushing between multiple stops.

This trip is aimed at travelers who want a resort-style day at the lagoon — sun loungers, hammocks, spa access, and food handled for you — over a more physically demanding excursion. Because it's suitable for all fitness levels and even accommodates infants, who are required to sit on an adult's lap during transport, with specialized infant seats available on request, it works well for families as much as for couples or friends looking for a relaxed lagoon day. What sets it apart from a simple beach or cenote stop is the density of inclusions: lounging furniture, a spa, kayaking, and two meals are all bundled into one round-trip price, rather than requiring separate rentals or a la carte purchases once you arrive.

Pickup is organized by region: travelers are collected from Puerto Juárez through to Playa del Carmen, with designated meeting points in areas like central Cancún, Puerto Morelos, and Playa del Carmen. In the Cancún Hotel Zone and across most of the Riviera Maya, transportation picks up directly from the large majority of hotel lobbies, while in Tulum the meeting point is Super Aki in the town center. Public transportation options are also noted as available nearby for those who prefer to make their own way to a pickup point.

Bring a swimsuit and be ready to spend the day at or near the water, since kayaking and swimming in both the lagoon and Cenote Azul are central to the itinerary. Drinks are not included, so plan to purchase beverages separately during the day, and note that a life vest for the Cenote Azul swim is also not provided, so pack or rent one if you prefer to use one. With loungers, hammocks, breakfast, lunch, kayaking, and round-trip transport all covered, the main things to budget for beyond the tour price are drinks and any spa treatments you choose to add once at the Marmol Spa.
